Was a BUSY non stop weekend of fun! Friday after CeCe's school she and I met three of her friends at the aquatic center for the girls to swim.
The water is heated and is only two feet deep in the shallow end. Perfect!!
I was a little worried CeCe would forget all her swimming skills from last summer, but I shouldn't have worried. Little CeCe fish is back! That's her swimming freestyle.
That night one of Bryce's good friends had his birthday party at a skating/laser tag place in town. It seemed like everyone we knew was invited so it was a fun night for all of us! CeCe and Vander couldn't wait to get on the skating floor! Vander decided he had had enough after about 3 minutes but CeCe stayed out there all night! They let Anthony walk out there in tennis shoes with her to hold her hand. She kept telling him to go sit down after a while though. He stayed with her because she couldn't get herself back up if she fell down. She pretty much stayed in the middle (slower section) of the rink all night. She definitely has the skating bug now!!
Bryce and two of his buddies sat and watched for a while before two of them decided to be brave and give skating a try. He didn't love it like CeCe did, but enjoyed it, especially with all of his buddies out there.
The next day we met CeCe's friends again for a picnic lunch and to watch the Tybee Mardi Gras parade. It was much cooler than we thought it was going to be, but still fun!
The cuteness!!! Bryce was there but was out in the field playing football.
The parade lasted....13 minutes! What a bummer, but we were right by the best park in town so the kids played for about 2 hours. Fun afternoon!!
Saturday night Bryce went to another good friends sleepover party. They stayed up until 11:30 and woke up at 6 the next morning! He was so excited to tell us about getting to play basketball outside at 10:30 at night. I thought for sure he would be a tired grumpy mess the next day but he pushed through it and we had a great Sunday! The weather was PERFECT so we invited 3 of our neighborhood families over for a cookout. Right as everyone was coming over the sand gnats came out in full force. It was terrible so everyone ended up inside to eat which got a little hectic. We sent the big boys back outside to play and things calmed down enough after that! They played soccer in the pitch black dark and loved it.
Bryce's friend Will came over earlier than everyone else and I caught them playing a great game of hide and seek with the walkie talkies. I love that Bryce will let CeCe play with him and his friends. Such a great big brother!
