CeCe's Bake Shop

We had CeCe's Bake Shop birthday party today.  We decided to have it today because most of her friends were out of town last week and this weekend.  It worked out great having it on a Monday morning.

Super cute invitation I found on Etsy

She loves helping me plan her parties and decided on a pink and yellow theme this year.  Here we are decorating her cake that she insisted needed to be a white square cake with white icing.

Big thanks to my friend Melanie for helping us bake the cake last week.  We froze it and that made it much easier to decorate since it was still cold today.  Cappy's steady hand helped get all the icing smooth.

We spruced the cake up by adding pink sixlets and using sprinkles to make a big 4 in the middle.  It turned out super cute!

CeCe decided on a 'kitchen party' about 8 months ago.  We narrowed it down to baking cupcakes.  She didn't want to just decorate the cupcakes, she wanted to mix, stir and bake them also.  Hmmm.....could we do it?  Of course we can!  I made aprons for each of her and her friends to wear and my friend Melanie's mom made these super cute bakers hats and mailed them to us.

The party room this year was the kitchen of course!

As soon as some of her friends got there we started the first group mixing their ingredients.

Cappy helped with the mixer station

And they worked together to get everything ready for the oven
While the cupcakes baked and cooled we ate lunch.  Anthony came to eat with us and brought Pizza Hut!  She wanted Pizza Hut, fruit and pirates booty.  Easy and yummy!
The boys.  They played baseball most of the time but stopped to have some lunch.  Two of these are big brothers of CeCe's friends and two are friends he invited.

Happy Birthday Dear CeCe, Happy Birthday to you!

After we finished eating cake, the cupcakes were cool enough to decorate!

Each girl decorated and took home 4 cupcakes.  We sent them home with these cute cupcake boxes full of their creations and a note from CeCe.
Everyone went outside for a few minutes before heading home.  It was hot today, but not 100 degrees like it was last year for her party!

Before they left I requested a picture of everyone in their aprons and hats.  Some wouldn't wear the hats and this is the best picture I got!  Only missing little Claire.

It was a super fun party and CeCe said every part of the party was her favorite.  That equals success for me!

I can't believe my sweet baby bird is FOUR years old now!!  We celebrated her big day by going to the neighborhood pool twice (for a total of 5 hours!).  Cappy is here and the LeCroy's were here for a few days and they all went with us this morning.  We took cupcakes up there and shared with our neighbors that were there too.  She just opened some of her presents and is on cloud nine with her new stuff!  Her party is going to be on Monday and she can't wait!

Callaway Gardens

We just spent a great weekend at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA with 35 of our closest family members!  My Dad's brothers, their kids and their kids try to get together every year or every other year.  This year we went to Callaway Gardens and LOVED it!  Here is the crew one night before dinner.....

We stayed in multiple cottages all centered around sidewalks and a parking area.  We brought the kids' bikes and they had a blast riding around by the cottages with each other.

Greta brought CeCe a leotard to match hers and they had fun dancing around.
CeCe couldn't wait to get her hands on Winnie!!

One stormy afternoon we had everyone over to our cottage for delicious banana splits.

After the storm we went out to play in the great puddles all around.  We all got a kick out of watching Jasper on his balance bike.  If you've never seen a kid riding one, it is hilarious!

Saturday morning my cousin's daughter Borden and her dad were doing a trapeze class and needed a third for their class.  They asked Anthony and he did it!
Here is Borden ready to take off.

And Anthony!  After he learned the hang upside down swing maneuver they added an extra 'grab onto the other guys hands maneuver' and he got it on the first try! Borden also was able to do this move.  Her dad, not so much!!

After Anthony did the trapeze Bryce and Ben tried out the Aqua Island on the lake.  It looked like so much fun! They were exhausted after their hour session out there though! (these two pictures are of the same inflatable, but there were about 10 more inflatables out there, all connected by tubes)

To keep the 'thrill' morning going, CeCe and Jude had turns on the bungee trampolines.  They both loved it!  Jasper decided to try out the land inflatables and had a great time too.

Saturday night we tried to get some family photos....

That night we got out our rubber bases and Cappy's kickball and the kids had fun playing kickball together.  The big kids helped the younger kids!

It was such a fun weekend together!  Oh, but I need to add that Friday night Anthony, Cappy and I had to take CeCe to an Urgent Care in Columbus, GA for severe ear pain.  She was diagnosed with swimmers ear before we left in her right ear (along with an inner ear infection, poor baby) but Friday night she was screaming and shaking with pain in her left ear.  The Dr. couldn't see anything in there except for a red ear drum so she gave us some Tylenol with codeine and told us to do the drops in both ears just in case.  Today (Wednesday) she finally woke up pain free.  It was a long week with ear pain for her.
