WIPP Christmas program

CeCe's school had a Christmas program this morning.  We let Bryce go to school late so he could come with us and they were both so excited about it!  CeCe has been singing these songs for weeks and could not wait to perform them on stage.  She did a great job!  She loves singing in front of people!

After the program with some of her girl-friends from her class
 With her teacher, Mrs. Hill

Yesterday CeCe's class had their Christmas party.  She loved the green cookie icing!

This afternoon was Bryce's Christmas party.  CeCe loves going to his classroom, she jumps right in like she's a 2nd grader!

Early Christmas

Like last year, we decided to open all the gifts from us to the kids and to each other early this year.  It makes traveling a little lighter and it's fun to have a little Christmas celebration in our own home!  Tonight was the night for our 'early Christmas' as the kids have been calling it for weeks now!

Everyone had fun opening gifts!

In our prayer tonight each of them had to name everything they got tonight.  Bryce got two sports books, a MS State watch and a STL Cardinals beach towel from us and CeCe got him Despicable Me 2.  CeCe got 2 doll swings (made by us!), a craft kit, and magic clip doll set from us and Bryce got her a make your own bracelet kit, a dog for her babies, sparkly headbands and a spy pen.

Gymnastics with Santa

Our friends the Sowders came in town for the weekend and we had a great time with them!  We didn't do anything super exciting but we did make it out to the beach Saturday morning before it started raining.  We also had a babysitter Saturday night so the 4 grown ups went out to dinner.  New tradition when they come to visit for sure!!

Saturday afternoon CeCe's gymnastics program had something fun called gymnastics with Santa.  She has been giddy with excitement waiting for this event! It was all of the 3-4 year old classes together for an extra Saturday class (usually we go on Thursday's at 4 so Anthony can never see her).

At the end of the hour Santa came out and the kids each got to sit with him and tell them what they want.  CeCe said she wants an American Doll  (American Girl Doll).

CeCe was very excited that Sam came to watch her! These two love playing together.

Lately in iPhone pictures

Hmm... this post never posted.  I set it up to post last week!  Oops.  Check below this one for Thanksgiving.

The kids and our neighbors playing four square.  We are lucky to have such good kids right next door!

Supporting the bulldogs in our maroon and white at church
Thursday night I had a circle meeting at my house.  One of my friends had to bring her daughters with her and we sent the kids and Anthony back to our bedroom to play/watch a movie.  They were wild and crazy and just as Anthony was telling Bryce to calm down he jumped/fell off of our bed.  He landed wrong on his left hand and ended up breaking THREE fingers.   The pinky that he broke playing baseball in August and the next two fingers.  He was in a lot of pain, poor thing.  Today is Tuesday (5 days later) and he started complaining of his ring finger hurting again.  That has me worried.
Beautiful bird before church Sunday.  Her choir sang in church and she did great again!  So sweet!
Sunday night was our Advent craft night at church.  I helped chair the event and really enjoyed it!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was different this year!  We sure missed seeing our family but I'll admit, we really enjoyed staying put.  Anthony was off work for almost a whole week and we had no plans and no where to be.  That has NEVER happened!  We had fun just being at home.  Here is our thankful tree we had up in the kitchen.  Each day the kids would add a leaf with something they were thankful for. We had some interesting leaves this year!  (Dak Prescott, Squanto, air-Bryce. Ninja Turtles, squirrels, every tree-CeCe)

Unfortunately CeCe's cold ended up getting worse on Thanksgiving Day.  She had fever most of the day and felt crummy.  She complained about her ear hurting so I suspected an ear infection but was a little nervous about pneumonia again too.  That night she had been watching something on the big TV in the living room and it was time for the Egg Bowl to start.  Instead of asking her to either move to our bedroom or watch her movie on the little DVD player the boys watched the Egg Bowl on the small laptop so we could all be in the living room together and CeCe could still watch her movie.  That's LOVE because they had been excited about that game for weeks!
Bryce and I woke up and finished watching the Egg Bowl.  WAY TO GO STATE!!!!  CeCe woke up feeling better but we took her to the Dr. anyway to get her ears checked and sure enough she had a badly infected left ear.

Maroon Friday at the Drs. office!

That afternoon she felt good enough to play outside so we spent hours outside.  Bryce is getting really good at one handed basketball!

Saturday we went to the Westin Hotel downtown to check out the gingerbread competition.

Bryce's class (and CeCe and I helped too!) entered a house this year!  It was so fun and hectic helping his 2nd grade class decorate this huge gingerbread house.  The kids were so proud to see their house on display!

Sunday after church we went and got a tree.  It is perfect and makes the house smell great!  We decided to put it in the living room this year so we can see it more.  CeCe loves looking at all the ornaments and asked me today if we could take them all off and put them up again!

Last night we watched Elf and decorated the tree.  What a fun weekend!!

Tomorrow Bryce has a follow up with the orthopedic dr.  They will take his cast off and X-ray his fingers again.  I'm hoping he won't need another cast.  That thing is disgusting after only 11 days!

CeCe's Thanksgiving Program

CeCe's school had their Thanksgiving program this morning.  She missed school Monday because of a fever and cold but luckily the fever stayed away so she could go sing today!

Her class dressed as turkeys and were so cute!
I love watching her sing.  She loves it and does such a good job!

Bryce and CeCe are both coughing and snotty.  That combined with Bryce's THREE broken fingers and cast have helped us make the hard decision to stay in Savannah this Thanksgiving.  We are all sad about not seeing our family but won't miss the 22+ hours in the car over the next 4 days.

We hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Kids Rock Race

Today was Bryce's big race!  I love that they have this event.  It is well organized and a lot of fun for the kids.  He's been training with a group from his school and has really enjoyed that.

Starting out....

Coming up to the finish and looking strong!

He ran the 1 mile race in 7:43!  That is 2 minutes faster than last year!!
This sweet bird is such a patient, kind, awesome cheerleader!  She has spent much of her weekend waiting and watching people run and she wants to do a race so bad but can't do this one until she's 5.  Bryce let her wear his medal some.

Bryce and his friend Dodge.  I love that bunny ears are still around!!

Oh yeah....this is the email that went out to all the Kids Rock participants.  Does that face look familiar?  Pretty cool!!!
