Bryce's Spring Program

Bryce's school had their Spring program today. I was so proud of Bryce, he sang and did all the hand motions! This is a huge improvement from the Christmas program where he stood there, got embarassed and started making Hulk faces and doing the Hulk smash on the ground! Of course the pictures of the actual program didn't turn out great, but I had to post one for the Grandparents!

His class after the program
During the program--singing "The wise man built his house..."

Funny Mommy Moment

And some pictures of course!

I had a very funny moment today......Bryce and Anthony were outside grilling steaks for dinner and CeCe and I were in the kitchen. She was in the exersaucer and I was making twice baked potatoes. She decided she was done in the exersaucer and wanted to be up with me, but of course I couldn't pick her up so she started whining. Not too bad or too loud, just constant whining. Bryce came in and asked for his playdough (he got a grill and a playdough burger maker set for his birthday). I went to the closet and got it out for him and on the way back I decided CeCe was ready for her bippy (paci). I picked it up and without thinking shoved it in Bryce's mouth!! It wouldn't stay in so I started wiggling it around and then looked down and realized what I was doing! His eyes were huge, I think he was shocked because he didn't say anything! It was HILARIOUS!! I laughed so hard I cried and all the laughter made CeCe forget about whining so nobody needed a bippy after all!!

Now for the pictures:

Yesterday was bath day for Reagan (we bathe her in Bryce's old plastic pool)
Bryce was a big helper
I put CeCe in a Pack and Play for the first time (she has slept in them before but I've never put her in one to play). Think she liked it?
Anthony dumped the pool and made some fun mud! Bryce had a blast jumping in it and of course was wearing his lightest pair of shorts--they are on wash #2 tonight.
CeCe and her Daddy today. Isn't this a super cute outfit? Thanks Kiki!
Bryce was grilling tonight while Anthony was grilling the steaks
Here is the hamburger he brought me :)

Bryce and Daniel getting some bad guys

Bryce torturing Daniel who just wanted to read Bryce's books!
Bryce and Daniel have so much fun together, I wish we lived closer to each other so they could see each other more often. The next day we all hit the beach for some playtime in the sand and then had lunch at Flounder's on Pensacola Beach. It was such a fun weekend!

A Smashing Good Time

We celebrated Bryce's 4th birthday today with a Hulk themed party at a local gym. They set up the gym with lots of fun stuff for 4 year old boys to do. There was a tumble track to run and jump on, rings to swing on and a obstacle course complete with a zip line! He had a BLAST!! He started out wearing his Hulk costume, but got really hot quick.

CeCe loved watching the boys run around!

Bryce was a little scared of the zip line at first, but after we talked him into it and he tried it, he loved it!
Landing at the end of the zip line.
Anthony had fun too!!
After they played for 1.5hrs. it was time to have lunch....Pizza Hut pizza of course!
Here are the Hulk cupcakes I made. Bryce had to have strawberry cupcakes so they were hot pink and green!

Happy Birthday Bryce, make a wish!!

Then it was present time!

We were so blessed to have all four Grandparents, Anthony's sister Tracy and her family, and my Aunt Sandra and Uncle Charles all make the long drive down for Bryce's party. It meant so much to us!

Surgery

Bryce was such a big boy today! We got to the hospital at 7:45 and were home by 11:45! It was awesome!! He got upset when I told him he had to take his pants off (he wore his super hero pajama pants) so I asked if he could wear those in surgery and they let him! I think that helped his feelings alot. And PJ and Monk were allowed to go with him, thank goodness. They gave him some Spiderman juice (happy juice) while we were waiting and it made him so loopy! These pictures are after the happy juice. The surgery itself was so quick. Dr. Lurton said his ears were "nasty". They had so much fluid and were both infected. He decided to give him a Rocephin shot in the OR and we have drops to put in them for a couple of days. When we were allowed to go back to recovery Bryce was very agitated and crying which made him cough a lot. A nurse was doing a breathing treatment which only upset him more (but I know helped the cough). He wouldn't calm down until Anthony picked him up and started rocking him. He finally calmed down and looked at me and said in a loopy voice "why am I here?" Poor thing couldn't remember being there because of the happy juice so no wonder he was so upset! Once I explained where we were and why we were there he relaxed and went to sleep. He had a quick 20 minute nap and when he woke up he was ready to hit the road! He couldn't walk (too wobbly) until we got home. Now he is running around acting totally normal! He ate a full Chik fil A happy meal so I know he is feeling good! On the way home he said " Mama, why didn't they put the Hulk tubes (we have been calling them Hulk tubes) in my ears?" I said they did and he said "But I don't feel anything and I never saw the Dr." I guess the medicine did the trick!

PJ and Monk

Dear PJ and Monk,
I want to say thank you for being the best friends/toys/lovies that a boy could ask for. You have been there for all the ups and downs the last four years and that means a lot to this Mama.
From very early on Bryce was in love and needed you (still does!)
He takes care of you too
You are always there to play with him
You are there for the good times
And right by his side for the not so good times. It made it a little easier having to leave him in the PICU every night knowing that you were still there with him.
You are there when he is scared
And right there to help him recover
You are the first items on my list to take with us Tuesday for the tube surgery. I don't know how many more years Bryce will need you, but I hope it is for at least a couple more! Thank you PJ and Monk for always being there.

Bottomless Pit

Since Bryce has been home from school today (at 1:00) all he has done is eat! He has had a banana, a bowl of cheezits, 3 bowls of popcorn (almost the whole bag), a pizza (homemade from a tortilla, tomato sauce and cheese), mandarin oranges, two handfuls of chips, an oreo, and a big bowl of grapes! He wanted more grapes but it was bedtime so I told him no. I know he ate a good lunch at school too so that isn't the problem, he is just hungry! He has had many days like this lately where all he wants to do is eat! He has gone from 30 lbs. at in Sept. to 36 lbs. at his last appointment! He is getting taller, not chunkier.

CeCe bird is 8 months old today!!!!

ETA: This morning he has had two McDonald's hashbrowns (one of which I bought for me!) and three cereal bars. I need some more healthy options around here to offer him when he does this to me!!
