We just spent a great weekend at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA with 35 of our closest family members! My Dad's brothers, their kids and their kids try to get together every year or every other year. This year we went to Callaway Gardens and LOVED it! Here is the crew one night before dinner.....
We stayed in multiple cottages all centered around sidewalks and a parking area. We brought the kids' bikes and they had a blast riding around by the cottages with each other.
Greta brought CeCe a leotard to match hers and they had fun dancing around.
CeCe couldn't wait to get her hands on Winnie!!
One stormy afternoon we had everyone over to our cottage for delicious banana splits.
After the storm we went out to play in the great puddles all around. We all got a kick out of watching Jasper on his balance bike. If you've never seen a kid riding one, it is hilarious!
Saturday morning my cousin's daughter Borden and her dad were doing a trapeze class and needed a third for their class. They asked Anthony and he did it!
Here is Borden ready to take off.
And Anthony! After he learned the hang upside down swing maneuver they added an extra 'grab onto the other guys hands maneuver' and he got it on the first try! Borden also was able to do this move. Her dad, not so much!!
After Anthony did the trapeze Bryce and Ben tried out the Aqua Island on the lake. It looked like so much fun! They were exhausted after their hour session out there though! (these two pictures are of the same inflatable, but there were about 10 more inflatables out there, all connected by tubes)
To keep the 'thrill' morning going, CeCe and Jude had turns on the bungee trampolines. They both loved it! Jasper decided to try out the land inflatables and had a great time too.
Saturday night we tried to get some family photos....
That night we got out our rubber bases and Cappy's kickball and the kids had fun playing kickball together. The big kids helped the younger kids!
It was such a fun weekend together! Oh, but I need to add that Friday night Anthony, Cappy and I had to take CeCe to an Urgent Care in Columbus, GA for severe ear pain. She was diagnosed with swimmers ear before we left in her right ear (along with an inner ear infection, poor baby) but Friday night she was screaming and shaking with pain in her left ear. The Dr. couldn't see anything in there except for a red ear drum so she gave us some Tylenol with codeine and told us to do the drops in both ears just in case. Today (Wednesday) she finally woke up pain free. It was a long week with ear pain for her.
