The rest of September

The kids had a random Friday off for a teacher work day.  Anthony took the day off too and we all met my parents in Holly Springs MS at a place called Strawberry Plains Audubon Center.  There were some great trails to walk around on and it was a gorgeous day.  We went back to my parents house for lunch and the afternoon.

That night CeCe and I went with Mary and her mom Ruby to see Disney on Ice!!  CeCe decided she wanted to be Merida (we have the dress from last year) but when Mary came down in her Anna costume CeCe begged to change into Elsa.  Since we don't have an Elsa dress we improvised with her crown and cape.  We ate at the Flying Saucer before walking down to the show.

It was a great show and Ruby got us awesome seats!

While the girls were downtown Anthony and Bryce went to Huey's for burgers and then walked from our house to the Houston High School football game.  They beat Germantown that night!!

The next day CeCe and Mary braved the cold water in the pool for one last swim of the season.  I was surprised they swam, it was freezing!

Our friends Kelley Fam and the Lunsfords came over that night for fish tacos and to watch the LSU game........yep, this is Bryce near the end!!!  What a crazy but great game!!

BULLDOGS WIN!!

BULLDOGS WIN!!!

Mary's birthday was last week and on Friday her mom took the day off work so she and I went to have lunch with the girls.  For a treat Ruby got them (and Bryce) McDonalds.

This wasn't the McDonalds lunch day, just another day I was up there.  I'm the room mom for CeCe's class and the class photographer for Bryce's class so I have plenty of excuses to go up to the school!!  Bryce doesn't like me eating with him though, he's been that way since 2nd grade.  I'm ok with that though, considering how attached to me and shy he was for so long!

Friday night was Mary's birthday party.....CeCe's first sleepover at a friends house!!  I went down to help Ruby with the crafts and to eat with them but she stayed all night with her friends and had a blast.

They painted pillowcases, built olaf out of marshmallows and had a very fun glow party out back once it got dark.

Sunday was Bryce's first game with the Batters Box 9U team.  It was just a scrimmage game but he was nervous!  It's kid pitch this year and they can lead off and steal bases so lots of new things to learn.  Of course Bryce (one of the smallest and least tough kids out there) got hit with a pitch.  It got his arm.  He was hurting but stayed out there and managed to score a run (helped that he got an automatic walk after getting hit!) His next at bat he was scared of getting hit at first but after a pep talk from his coach he got over it.  (still struck out that time though)

Wednesday was national walk to school day.  Since we live over 1.5 miles from the school I drove about halfway to school and then we walked from there.  It was a perfect weather day to walk and the kids thought it was fun!
