The kids had a full week off of school for Fall Break this year! We hit the road as soon as they got off the bus on Friday and drove to West Point to stay with Kiki and Papaw Duke. The Bulldogs had an early 11am game the next day against Texas A&M. The weather was perfect for watching football and we had a blast cheering on our Bulldogs to a big win over the Aggies!! We sure picked a great year to start getting season tickets again!!
The kids and I left West Point Sunday morning and drove to Fairhope to see Melanie, Liam and Luci. We had a wonderful two days with them! She let her kids skip school on Monday and we went to the USS Alabama battleship to explore.
Monday night we hit the bay for a sunset picnic. It was awesome! Afterwards we took the kids for ice-cream and Bryce had his first ice cream cone (he's had ice-cream before, just never had it in a cone, crazy!)
The kids have a blast with Liam and Luci and I always love spending time with Mel. We are hoping they will come see us in Memphis soon!!
