The very same week we were moving from Savannah to Memphis, our good friends the Sponsellers were moving from New Jersey to St. Louis. We were good friends with them when we lived in Montgomery. Evan was Bryce's very first friend and Heather became a very good friend of mine. We saw each other almost every day! We've only seen them one time in the last 6 years and that was Spring Break 2013. They came to Hilton Head and we met them for the day. They are such a great family and we are excited to see them more often now that they are only 5 hours away from Memphis! We drove up there after school on a Friday which meant we got to there house after 9:30. The kids went straight to bed and the parents got to visit for a few hours. The next morning all 4 kids woke up super excited to see each other! CeCe and Adriana had only met those two days last Spring and Bryce and Evan can't remember much of each other but they all four get along perfectly.
That morning Evan had a soccer game and we all went to cheer him on!
Hugh flies in the Air Force and it was military appreciation day for the Cardinals. They got good priced tickets and we were able to go to a fun tailgate before the game.
We hit the Flying Saucer right before the game and Bryce and Evan kept asking to do trivia. Sports, history and presidential trivia. Evan is so much like Bryce.....loves numbers, stats and facts. It was great being around another kid who likes this stuff so much!

Sunday we drove to the Forest Park area and walked around. The kids had to roll down this big hill!
We stopped in at the history museum
And found a fun playground too!
It was a great weekend that ended too soon. We are looking forward to hosting the Sponseller family here next!
