Quick trip to Memphis

Last weekend we took a quick 4 night trip to Memphis (more on the why of the trip at the end of this post!)

Blakeley, Daddy and Hunter had already signed up to do a Prostate Cancer 1/2 marathon on that Saturday so when we decided to go up there, Anthony signed up for the race too.  Cappy and I took all 5 kids to watch and we felt like we should have gotten a finisher prize for that too!

Anthony at the finish.

This was a small race which was nice.  We could see everyone crossing the finish line because most people were crossing alone.  They had 3 different bouncy houses set up for the kids so in between finish times for our peeps we let the kids play.
I don't have pictures of Blakeley finishing but she was next.  Then Daddy!  He walked the whole 13 miles and still finished in under 3 hours!  Very impressive.
We were all so proud to cheer on Papaw Ruff!
 The runners!
That afternoon the weather was perfect and we spent about 4 hours straight outside playing.  CeCe LOVES having Winnie around to play with!
And my Bryce Duke fell in love with Miss Winnie again!  He thinks she is hysterical and he loves to sit back and watch her.  Here he is laughing at her drinking Papaw Ruff's tea.  Not sure why that was so funny, but he sure thought it was!
Winnie's nose....Bryce's nose!  She would say his name exactly the same way CeCe used too.  So sweet!
While the oldest and youngest were bonding, the three middles were having a blast walking the dogs around the cove over and over again!
All clean after bath and watching a movie together.  Love these kiddos!

So, the reason for our trip to Memphis.....We are moving there in July!!  Anthony interviewed for his new job, was offered the new job and we bought a house all in two days time!  (Still with International Paper) It was a quick decision on the house but we fell in LOVE with it!  It's in Germantown and the kids will go to Farmington Elementary in the fall.  We are all very sad to leave Savannah but it will be great to get back 'home' to TN/MS!!  We will be 30 minutes from my parents and 2.5 hours from Anthony's parents!!!

Brooke,
SO excited for you guys! I know you both are so close to your families and being near them is so great! I know your two sweet kiddos will be glad to be close to their grandparents! :) And the grandparents will be even more thrilled probably! Good luck with the move!
