Mermaid Party

CeCe's actual birthday is this Thursday, July 3rd but we celebrated Sunday evening with a fun Mermaid party at our neighborhood pool.  Our little mermaid bird is turning FIVE!!!  

The weather was sunny and hot all day until 4.  The clouds blew in and we heard a good bit of thunder.  I got really worried but we headed up to the pool anyway.  For the first 30 minutes of the party the pool was on thunder break so the kids just played outside on the playground.  Thankfully at 5:30 they were able to get in and swim!  It rained off and on for the next hour, but it was just a nice steady rain that the kids had fun swimming in.  

CeCe and her best friend Vander.  They are going to be so lost without each other in about 10 days!  Breaks my heart to separate them.  

CeCe had a blast swimming with all of her friends.  This is Sophia.

CeCe has mastered the diving board again this year.  This year she can add some flare to her jumps!  In this picture you can see the rain, pretty cool!

The pool closed at 7 so we let them swim right until 6:59 and then went out to the playground for cake and cupcakes.  Happy Birthday CeCe!!!

We came home and opened presents. She was so excited about everything she got!  

We will celebrate again on Thursday by letting her open the gifts from us and probably heading back to the pool!
