We saw Dr. Woolley yesterday and he thinks it will be best to wait another year to begin treatment on Bryce's lip. The redness around his lip will respond to laser treatment now, but if we start this early it will require more treatments. Up to 6 or 7 and he has to be under GA each time. If we wait until Bryce is 3-4 years old, it will only take 2-4 treatments. He is going to look at his lip closer while Bryce is sleeping during the first laser treatment to decide what to do about that. The benefits of 'debulking' his bottom lip might not outweigh the risks. The hemangioma isn't causing him any discomfort or preventing him from doing anything like eating or talking. So we will just wait and see.
