One year ago today, May 11, is when we first found out there was something wrong with Bryce. We took him in for his 8 week check up and our pediatrician sent us for a chest x-ray and then straight to Children's Hospital in Birmingham. It was so scary. We didn't know what we were dealing with and wouldn't know for sure for another week. I can't believe a whole year has gone by since we were driving up there in shock. Wow. We were thinking it was just a cold or something. We didn't even know what was on his face was more than chapped lips and eczema.
I'm kind of having deja vous today because last year at this time we were preparing for our first trip to Olive Branch to see my parents and show Bryce off to all of our friends. Today we are doing the same. We are leaving Monday afternoon for a 2 week stay at my parents house. I'm having to take Bryce in to the Dr. today because he has a tight cough and runny nose. Nothing at all like last year, but still, it is kind of creepy. I really think today is just allergies. I hope so at least! I'll post later and let you know what the Dr. says.

Wow, Brooke. I can't wait until I can say, "One year ago today..." I know the day will come. Bryce has come so far. Thank you for being so willing to share his journey with me and hold my hand as I walk a similar one. His story gives me hope. Your words bring me encouragement. Enjoy showing off your precious boy on your trip!
