In late June we headed to Pigeon Forge, TN for 4 nights. Cappy and Papaw Ruff came with us which is always fun! Our first stop was Dollywood, what a fun place!!! We have added this to our 'must go back to' list.
It has fun rides, was so clean, not super crowded and plenty of shade and water rides to keep cool.
We spotted this (Bryce's baseball team is Batter's Box)
This is in front of Dolly's museum. Our Dolly lovin gal LOVED the museum!
This was a hologram of Dolly and CeCe said "Can Dolly really see me?" It was so cute!
The real coat of many colors
There were iPads and headphones on a wall where you could pick any Dolly song to listen to. CeCe stayed here for a long time singing loudly and dancing!
This is near our hotel in Pigeon Forge
Saturday was our planned day to go to the Smoky Mountains National Park. It was raining when we started at Cade's Cove but thankfully it dried up for a few hours so we could explore. It was a gorgeous place!
Leaving Cade's Cove there was a big traffic jam. We were starving and looking for a place for our picnic and getting grumpy. But then we found out what the hold up was.....BEARS! A Mama bear and two cubs. They all three crossed the road right behind our car! It was awesome to see!!
We found a picnic spot and filled our bellies and then found a short trail to hike. It was bright and sunny when we started but about halfway through the bottom fell out! We got DRENCHED but it was still fun! Bryce was bummed because he wanted to keep hiking. Next time we do this trip we will plan more time at the national park to explore more.
