Aunt Sandra came to visit the last weekend of Spring Break! She and her friend Joan stayed at my parents apartment downtown for 3 nights. They came to our house Friday morning to visit and bring Bryce's birthday present.
That weekend Bryce's team had their first tournament in Jackson, TN. It was about 1 hour from the house so we just drove up there and back each day (Friday, Saturday and Sunday!) The weather was COLD and it rained a lot on Sunday but other than the weather it was a good tournament. Here is his team. Batter's Box Black 9s.
We had an hour break on Saturday so we found a Mexican restaurant and ran into another family from his team. Bryce and Scotty had fun eating together!
Sunday afternoon (in the steady rain and 51 degree weather) Bryce started as pitcher! He was so excited!! Pitching at this age is definitely a learning experience! WAY more balls are thrown than strikes but each time a kid gets on the mound you can tell they are getting better and better. Bryce struck out a few batters so we will call it a success!! They only let them pitch for 2 innings a game for now.
While we were in Jackson all weekend CeCe was with Cappy and Papaw Ruff because Blakeley and her kids came in town for their Spring Break. CeCe had a blast with them and did not want to leave on Sunday! They always get into the dress up clothes (we have tons of old dance costumes, not too many boy dress up clothes!!)
Tuesday afternoon my parents brought the kids over to play. Gorgeous weather, cousins and friends. It was a great afternoon!
The next weekend I helped to host a baby shower brunch for my friend Lauren. It was a fun morning!
I loved how the flowers turned out!
We are all excited to meet baby Coleman!
That afternoon I drove to Southaven to watch Bryce play in tournament #2 of the season. It was SNOWING!! On March 28th. Craziness!
We spent the night with my parents and Cappy rolled CeCe's hair with sponge rollers. It was super cute!
Last night Anthony took CeCe on a date. They had dinner at Belmont Grill and she was so excited to get dressed up for her date with Daddy!
