Fun Weekend with Good Friends

Bryce and CeCe had 4 day weekends for MLK day and a teacher work day.  We didn't plan to do much, just hang out in Savannah and play.  Saturday was Anthony's birthday so we planned to have a nice dinner and cake, but nothing more.  Friday I noticed on facebook that my friend Melanie's trip to VA to see her husband's grandmother was cancelled so I mentioned that they should come to Savannah instead.   And they did!!!  I was so excited!  Spur of the moment surprises like that are the best.

Friday night Anthony, Bryce, Mike and Liam went to a hockey game downtown.  The boys had a blast.  VIP access and they even got to go out on the ice between games and help Mr. Marlon with two contests!  Bryce would never have gone out there alone, but with Liam by his side anything is possible!

Saturday morning we headed downtown to explore.  We started out on River Street and got to tour this awesome tall ship/sailboat.

Next stop was City Market to run around in the grass

And of course we had to go to the candy co.  Luci loved her taffy!

Next we headed to Forsyth to play and have a picnic.  Everyone had a great time there.  The weather was perfect and the kids all had fun playing together.

Mike and Liam brought their Lacrosse sticks and ball and showed Bryce the basics.  Cool game!

That night we had a delicious dinner (having Mel in your kitchen is never a bad thing!) and then sang Happy Birthday to Anthony (#34!!)

Sunday we went to Fort Pulaski and Tybee.  Everyone had fun exploring at the Fort.

And a GREAT time at Tybee.  Bryce and Anthony played football of course

While the rest of us dug in the sand, looked for shells, played in the water and ran around being silly.  I LOVE that these two are such good friends just like their older brothers are.

It was such a fun weekend and we hope they come back to see us soon!!
