Two weekends ago we spent 4 days with my dad's family in Florence, AL. We all used to go to Gulf Shores every summer but as the family grows and grows it was getting hard to find a house big enough for everyone at the beach. I found this huge house in Florence on VRBO one afternoon and showed my dad thinking it might work for all of us. It turned out to be great! There were 29 of us and everyone had a bed! (a few of the teenagers did sleep on air mattresses in the basement though). My kids were on cloud nine being with all these cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great aunts and uncles! They especially had fun playing with the teenagers. Those 'big kids' were so patient with the little ones and gave the grownups some great resting/visiting time.

Unfortunately the backyard pool was very green Thursday and Friday so Friday morning we found a great park that also had a carousel, roller coaster, and splash park! Perfect! Everyone enjoyed it.

Friday night my cousin's wife's parents (who live in Florence) took us to their country club for a very nice supper.
(excuse the hot and sweaty kids in this one! Cappy had been teaching the kids to roll down a big hill!)
