My sister is 38 weeks pregnant with her first child. They had an ultrasound at 20 weeks and it was decided that she was carrying a girl, who they were going to name Winnie. We have all bonded with Winnie and gone CRAZY buying pink stuff. The room is finished (though not painted pink) and Blakeley and Hunter were so excited to bring baby Winnie home soon. They had an ultrasound today to confirm the baby's position and were very surprised to learn that baby Winnie is actually a BOY! Oh my.
They are so happy the baby is healthy and will learn to love their boy, but they feel like they lost a little girl today. I'm so sad for them. I am headed to Huntsville this weekend armed with tons of blue. We will get them through this and in no time forget the sadness this day has brought. Maybe we will even laugh about it one day?
