We have been having computer issues for a couple of weeks now. This weekend it wouldn't even turn on so Anthony took the tower to work so someone there can look at it. I hope he can at least save all of our precious pictures! I feel lost without my daily internet access. Anthony brings his laptop home some nights so I can check in with everyone. No pictures for the blog while this is going on, but I wish I could post some! Bryce is getting so big! He is losing the baby look :( and is getting so handsome! He and his Daddy are running around the house right now giggling with Reagan (our black lab) following close behind.
I have a new prayer request for everyone. Keep Ethan Shobert and his family in your prayers. His mother contacted me about 2 weeks ago because her 5 month old has subglottic hemangiomas and she was interested in the laser treatments Bryce had gone through. Less than a week later, Ethan had to get a trach. Something they obviously wanted to avoid. He has been in the hospital since he got the trach, and his parents are having to learn how to take care of it and change it and everything that goes along with that. He isn't eating much so they put in a feeding tube, but Ethan didn't like that too much and pulled it out! They have a 2 year old daughter at home that they miss spending time with. Please keep this family in your prayers. You can view his blog at www.caringbridge.com patient name ethanshobert (no spaces)
Quinn and Izzy both went to the NOVA conference last weekend and were seen by the top doctors in the vascular birthmark world. It sounds like Izzy and family have a good plan to follow and have already gotten some surgeries scheduled for May. Quinn didn't get as many answers. The doctors just don't know what to do for him. They are going to try the chemo twice a week now. The good news for them is he got that silly PICC line out. He will be getting a port put in on Friday. Until then, he and his mother are in a hotel in Toronto. Pray for Izzy's future surgeries and for Quinn to stay healthy until Friday.
