Too cute

Daddy's little helper:

Mexico Trip

Here are a couple of pictures from last week in Mexico. We didn't carry our camera around enough to get many good pictures, but you can see how beautiful the resort was from these pictures. We had a great time, but it was awesome to come home to Bryce.

Hola!

Anthony and I are having a GREAT time in Mexico this week. The resort is amazing!!!! I'll post pictures when we get back. We've done a lot of relazing and pigging out so far!

We miss Bryce terribly though. It seems like every 10 minutes or so we say ¨Bryce would love this¨or ¨I would love to see Bryce do that¨ or ¨I need some lovin from Bryce¨. He is having a blast with his Cappy and Papaw Ruff, and I'm sure they are enjoying him.

We just got back from a quick last minute trip to Olive Branch. We went up there to see Elmo!!! Sesame Street Live was showing at the DeSoto Civic Center (near where my parents live). Bryce had a BLAST! We were wondering if we wasted money on the tickets, but he sat completely still (moving only to clap and point and shake, which he does when he is extra excited about something) for 35 whole minutes. Those that know Bryce personally know this is HUGE! He is non-stop movement unless he is sleeping or in his car seat so for him to sit that still for that long was great! I wish I had pictures of him so excited, but of course my camera was here in Millbrook.

I want to tell you a quick story about the ride home today. It has been a long time since I've been in the car by myself with Bryce for the trip to/from Olive Branch, maybe 4 months or so? It has worked out that either my mom or Anthony has been with us every time. He did great riding in the car today. He took a 6 minute nap around Tupelo and was wide awake the rest of the time. We stopped about 30 minutes north of Birmingham in Sumiton today to eat lunch. I ran through the drive thru at McDonald's for Bryce some nuggets and fries and then went next door to Taco Bell for me. That was my first mistake. I knew that Taco Bell was going to be disgusting, it always is. And it was. I got Bryce out of his carseat and his shorts were soaked. In 2.5 hrs. he had completely soaked through his diaper. His carseat cover was wet too. Gross. I got his only clean pair of shorts out of the trunk and we went in to eat. Nasty place.. He kept standing up in the highchair, which is normal for him and then his face got really red and he was grunting. Yep. He dirtied the new diaper. Then he plopped down in the highchair which must have made things explode in there because by the time I got back out to the car to change his diaper again, it was on his shorts, leg, and got on the seat of my car. I ran through all the wipes I had cleaning this mess up (his new thing is to stick his hands 'down there' while I'm changing him, so that made it 10 times nastier!) Poor baby had to ride home in a wet carseat with no shorts on!! He was fine with it though, happy go lucky Bryce. I was the one having a melt down! We made it home safely and he was thrilled to see his Daddy and Reagan.

Bryce is finally talking!!! Yay! He says: go, car, ball, mama, dada, yak (the animal), and no. I guess the hemangioma taking over his vocal chords put him about 6-9 mos. behind on speech. Or maybe not, but that sounds like a good explanation to me!

Sorry! I re read my last post and it sounded pretty rude!! I just feel strongly about it. I can blame it on stress too. We found out that we got the house in Pensacola!!! And our house in on the market here. I think that is the most stressful. Keeping the house clutter free, Reagan hair free, and straightened up is hard! It looks like the move will take place in early October, around the 5th. We are closing the 28th of Sept and will start doing stuff to the house then. It is brand new but needs fans in some rooms, we need to finish the fence, hang some blinds, etc.

I can see who has signed Quinn's petition and who hasn't. I know more of you read Bryce's blog, so PLEASE sign this petition for Quinn and all the other children this could benefit. I know you don't know Quinn or his family, and I've never met them in person either. But there is a strong bond between some of us mothers of children with Vascular Birthmarks. Bryce is very fortunate to have all the care he needs just an hour away. Quinn, who has a much more complex case than Bryce isn't that lucky. His mother Jenn, has been fighting with the Canadian govt. about his health issues from day one. This is one small thing we can do to help her. Thank you!!

And since I'm being so pushy about this, I'll post some pictures from our trip to Memphis and West Point :) We had a great time visiting with everyone. Happy 3rd Birthday Daniel!

For Quinn

I have a favor.....please go to this website and sign this petition for Bryce's buddy Quinn. He is in desperate need of laser surgery for his hemangioma and can't get it in Ontario Canada, where he lives. They only have one laser machine for the whole area and it is, according to the doctor, a 'dinosaur'. The new machine only costs $150,000 and could help so many children with hemangiomas and vascular anomalies. Quinn's mom Jenn has set up this petition to send to the government about this issue. Bryce would really appreciate it if you took a couple of minutes to sign this. Thank you! Here is the link:
